At times, believers might feel disheartened when their supplications seem unanswered. Yet, this too is enveloped in Hikmah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) mentioned that when someone makes a supplication, Allah responds in one of three ways: He grants the prayer, averts a harm from them, or saves it for them as a reward in the Hereafter.
